NAB REVIEW OPERATIONS OF UENR

The National Accreditation Board (NAB) as part of its measures to assure quality in tertiary education has undertaken a periodic Institutional Review of University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR). The review of the University was to discuss comprehensive matters on governance, institutional development, internationalization, research, community service, academic issues and the prospects of the University. The Vice Chancellor of UENR, Prof. Harrison Dapaah, welcomed members of the Accreditation Board and expressed the readiness of the institution for the exercise as well as its willingness to implement recommendations of the Board in order to continually improve on quality.

The Chairman of NAB, Professor Kofi Awusabo-Asare, led the review team which included Prof. Kwame Boasiako Omane-Antwi, Prof. Mohammed Salifu, Prof. Juventus Ziem, Prof. John Gyapong and Dr. Kingsley Nyarko, all members of the Board.

The University’s colleges made presentations based on programmes and faculty staff. The institutions’ workshops, laboratories and libraries were also inspected. 

The University of Cape Coast, University of Professional Studies, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science & Technology, University of Mines & Technology, University for Development Studies, Valley View University, University of Ghana and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration are institutions that have also undergone similar exercises.
