1. Purpose
This policy outlines the procedures and conditions under which refunds may be requested and processed by the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC). It is intended to ensure transparency, accountability, and consistency in the management of refund applications.
2. Scope
This policy applies to all payments made to GTEC in respect of applications, accreditation services, evaluations, assessments, and any other official services provided by the Commission.
3. Eligibility for Refund
Refunds may be considered under the following circumstances:
- Overpayment or duplicate payment by an applicant or institution.
4. Procedure for Requesting a Refund
All applications for refunds must:
- Be formally addressed to the Director-General, Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC).
- Clearly state the reason for the refund request.
- Be accompanied by evidence of the initial payment, including official receipts, invoices, bank slips, or electronic payment confirmations.
- Include all other relevant supporting documents to facilitate verification and processing.
Refund applications may be submitted in hard copy.
5. Amendments
GTEC reserves the right to amend this Refund Policy at any time in line with changes in financial regulations, operational requirements, or statutory directives.
