The
leadership of the University of Education, Winneba (UEW), on Monday, December
4, 2023, paid a courtesy call on the Acting Director-General of Ghana Tertiary
Education Commission (GTEC).
The
team was led by Neenyi Ghartey III, the Chancellor of UEW. He was accompanied
by Prof. Stephen Jobson Mitchual, Vice Chancellor, Mrs. Wilhemina Tetteh
Mensah, Registrar, Prof. Dominic Kwaku Danso Mensah, Principal of College of
Languages, Ajumako Campus, Mr. Theophilus Senyo Ackorlie, Finance Officer and
Mr. Charles A. Coffie, Acting Internal Auditor.
The
Registrar, Mrs. Wilhemina Tetteh Mensah said the purpose of the visit was to
formally introduce the Chancellor and Vice Chancellor of UEW to the Acting
Director- General of GTEC and also use the opportunity to acknowledge his
effort in promoting quality tertiary education in the country.
Prof.
Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai, the Acting Director-General of GTEC said he was
privileged to receive such a high-powered delegation and would ensure that
University of Education, Winneba, is given the needed guidance and support to
accomplish their mandate.

Also present were Prof. Yayra Dzakadzie, Deputy Director-General of
GTEC, Mr. Saaka Sayuti, Director for Administration, Mrs. Hilda A. Asante,
Director for Corporate Affairs, Dr. Emmanuel Newman, Director for Policy,
Planning, Monitoring and Research, Mr. Frank Nketiah, Director for Finance, Mr.
Jerry Sarfo, Head of Institutional Support and Cordination, Mrs. Sandra Amoah,
Head of Budget, Mr. Albert Akutetsu, Acting Head, Public Traditional
Universities, and Mr. Charles Mbeah, Head of PR and Protocol.
