The Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) has
secured a grant collaboration to facilitate the review of its accreditation
instruments as well as the development of an accreditation manual. The
Commission thus, invites qualified consultants to submit proposals to assist it
in undertaking these tasks. This initiative is pivotal to aligning our
accreditation frameworks with international best practices and national development
priorities, particularly in relation to climate action and sustainable
development.
Objectives:
·
Conduct a
thorough evaluation of existing accreditation instruments to identify areas for
improvement.
·
Benchmark
GTEC’s frameworks against international standards.
·
Develop
revised instruments to enhance quality assurance in tertiary education.
·
Engage
stakeholders throughout the process to ensure inclusivity and relevance.
Scope of Work:
Consultants will be required to undertake the
following tasks:
·
Perform a
comprehensive desk review of current GTEC accreditation instruments.
·
Analyze
international frameworks and identify exemplary practices.
·
Engage key
stakeholders for insights and inputs.
·
Propose
enhancements and re-develop the accreditation instruments.
·
Develop
implementation guidelines and present findings for validation.
·
Conduct nationwide training on the re-developed
accreditation instruments
Qualifications:
Ideal candidates should possess:
·
A Doctoral
degree in Quality Assurance, Higher Education Policy, or a related field. Climate Science and Engineering will be a plus.
·
At least
ten years of experience in tertiary education accreditation or quality
assurance or management.
·
Proven
expertise in developing assessment tools and frameworks.
·
Strong research,
evaluation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
