The newly appointed Chief Director of the Ministry of Education Mrs. Maamle Andrews, on Tuesday May 9, 2023 paid a courtesy call on the Management of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission (GTEC) as part of a three-day familiarization visit to agencies under the Ministry of Education. She was accompanied by some key Directors of the Ministry of Education.

In a brief meeting held at the Board room of the Ghana Tertiary Education Commission, the Director-General of GTEC, Professor Mohammed Salifu welcomed Mrs. Andrews and her team and informed them about how GTEC is very committed and dedicated to ensuring that tertiary institutions comply with standards and norms.

Mrs. Andrews said she was privileged to meet with Management of GTEC and happy to learn about the Commission in the short time of visit. She also said the Ministry of Education will continue to act as the umbrella Ministry to facilitate the mandates of all the agencies to ensure that Ghanaians have equal access to education. She encouraged Management of GTEC to continue to follow the path of professionalism to achieve better results.
