WThe Acting Director General of GTEC Prof. Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai on Monday March 25, 2024 received a high-powered delegation from the Ghana Armed Forces. The delegation was led by the Chief of Defense Staff (CDS), Lieutenant General (Lt. Gen.) Thomas Oppong Peprah together with Major General Kotia, Director General, Ghana Boundary Commission, Major General Aphour, Deputy Chief of Staff (Operations & Training), Brigadier General Tanye-Kulonu, Chief Cordinator, National College for Defense Studies (NCDS), Colonel Aaron Osei, Military Assistant to the CDS and Lieutenat Colonel Sena Affany, Protocol Officer to the CDS.
The Chief of Defense Staff said the purpose of their visit was to build on the relationship between the GTEC and the Ghana Armed Forces Command and Staff College (GAFCSC). “The GTEC has been very supportive in assisting the GAFCSC to commend PHD Programmes and we are sure they will continue to assist us get a Charter as we prepare to establish a National Defense University”. He added.

Also present to receive the delegation were the Deputy Director General of GTEC, Prof. Yayra Dzakadzie, The Director for Accreditation, Mr. John Dadzie Mensah, The Director for Corporate Affairs, Mrs. Hilda Asante, Director for Finance, Mr. Frank Nketiah and The Head of Internal Audit, Mrs. Nancy Doe.
The Acting Director General of GTEC, Prof. Ahmed Jinapor Abdulai congratulated LT. Gen Peprah on his appointment as the Chief of Defense Staff and said his visit to the GTEC tells how promising his leadership is. He added that “The GTEC’s mandate is to ensure that the necessary Infrastructure and Quality Assurance are in place and we will do our best to ensure that the GAFCSC becomes a fully flrdged and functional institution by assisting you to run programmes that feed into your mandate”.
